Terms of service

You keep everything you make. GuidedVisual stores it, shows it, and serves the pages you publish — and does not claim ownership of it or use it for anything else. In return, do not use the service to break the law or to harm other people, and understand that while it is free and in development it comes without a guarantee of uptime.
Who you are agreeing with
These terms are between you and GuidedVisual, a sole proprietorship operating from India, reachable at hello@guidedvisual.com. Using the service means accepting them. If you are using it for an organisation, you are confirming you may accept them on its behalf.
The state of the service
GuidedVisual is in development and access is restricted. Sign-in is limited to invited addresses, nothing is charged, and features change. Some things named on the marketing pages are not built yet. Do not rely on it as the only copy of anything important — download a backup, which the dashboard offers, and keep your original images.
Your account
You sign in with Google. Keep that account secure, because anyone who can get into it can get into this one. Tell us at security@guidedvisual.com if you think somebody else has used your account.
One person, one account. Do not share sign-in access, and do not create an account for somebody under 18.
What you make is yours
You keep every right in the images you upload and the visuals you build. Nothing here transfers ownership.
To run the service, GuidedVisual needs a narrow permission from you: to store your content, process it as you have asked (resizing an image, freezing a publication), and show it to whoever you publish it to. That permission exists only for those purposes and ends when you delete the content. It is not a licence to use your work in marketing, to show it to other users, to sell it, or to train anything on it.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. If you do not own an image, make sure you are allowed to use it.
What you may not do
- Upload anything unlawful, or anything you do not have the right to use
- Publish content that harasses, defames, or targets a private individual
- Impersonate a person or organisation, or pass GuidedVisual off as your own product
- Attempt to reach another account’s projects, or probe the service for weaknesses without asking first
- Use automated means to create accounts, or to hammer published links
- Resell access to the service itself
Security research is welcome — write to security@guidedvisual.com before you start and you will get an answer.
Limits
Every account has limits, so that one account cannot exhaust the service for everybody. At present they are 25 projects, 250 MB of storage including the copies publishing makes, and 50 artboards per project. You can see your usage on the dashboard. Going over does not delete anything: the operation that would cross the limit is refused, and everything you already have stays where it is.
Publication history keeps the last 20 versions of a project. Publishing a twenty-first drops the oldest, along with the images it froze. The version being served is never removed, whichever one it is.
Requests are also rate limited, and a published link receiving implausible traffic in one day may be suspended to protect the service. Suspension stops delivery; it deletes nothing, and publishing again clears it.
Publishing and embedding
Publishing creates a page at an unguessable link and freezes a copy of the project as it was. That copy does not change when you edit the draft — you decide when to republish. Anyone with the link can open the page, so treat the link as the access control it is.
Embeds are refused everywhere except GuidedVisual until you list the sites allowed to frame them. Unpublishing stops both, within seconds.
Ending it
You can stop using the service at any time, delete your projects from the dashboard, and delete the whole account from the bottom of the dashboard. Download a backup first: deletion removes your published pages too, and anyone holding a link will find nothing there.
Access may be suspended or ended if these terms are broken, or if the service is withdrawn. Except where content is unlawful, you will be told first and given a chance to export your work.
No guarantee
The service is provided as it is. While it is free and in development there is no promised uptime, no guaranteed support response, and no warranty that it will suit a particular purpose. Features may change or be removed.
Some of what it does is best-effort by nature and is described that way in the product: Smart Trace drafts regions on clean line-drawn floor plans for you to review. It is not automatic mapping, it does not work on photographs or furnished renders, and nothing it proposes enters your project until you accept it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, GuidedVisual is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data, and total liability for any claim is limited to what you have paid in the previous twelve months — which, while nothing is charged, is zero. Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
This is a genuine limit rather than a formality, and it is the reason the section above tells you to keep your own copies.
Changes and disputes
These terms may change; the date at the top will change with them, and material changes will be notified once account email is enabled. Continuing to use the service after that means accepting the new version.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India will have jurisdiction — except where consumer law in your own country gives you rights that cannot be signed away, which it may.
